The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has taken enforcement action against McDan Group by partially sealing the administrative block of its Electrochem salt mining operations at the Songor Lagoon in Ada over an unpaid tax debt of approximately GH¢8.6 million. Following an initial payment of GH¢200,000 by the company, the GRA has given Electrochem seven days to clear the outstanding balance. The Authority has cautioned that failure to settle the debt within the deadline could result in additional enforcement measures.
